About the Role
As the Marketing Intern for UW Green Bay Dining, you will help bring the dining program to life through creative marketing, campus events, digital communications, photography, and student engagement. Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager, with additional mentorship and support from the District Marketing Manager, you'll gain hands-on experience planning campaigns, promoting meal plans and Phlash Cash, creating marketing materials, managing digital content, and supporting special events that enhance the student dining experience.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a professional portfolio while gaining real-world marketing experience in a fast-paced higher education environment.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content creation
- Experience with Canva; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Photography and/or videography experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Current UW-Green Bay student preferred
Primary Responsibilities
- Create engaging social media content, including short-form video, photography, graphics, and stories across university dining channels.
- Capture photos and videos of food, associates, students, and campus events.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and executing themed dining events, promotions, giveaways, and campus activations.
- Design flyers, digital signage, posters, table tents, and other promotional materials.
- Maintain and update the Dine On Campus website with menus, announcements, promotions, and event information.
- Promote meal plans, Phlash Cash, retail dining locations, and special campaigns throughout the academic year.
- Support Voice2Vision survey promotion and other student feedback initiatives.
- Conduct marketing audits to ensure branding, signage, and promotional materials remain current and consistent.
- Monitor marketing campaign performance and social media engagement to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Represent UW Green Bay Dining at orientations, tabling events, student organization fairs, and other campus events.
- Build relationships with student organizations and campus departments to increase awareness and participation in dining programs.
- Assist with additional marketing, communications, and administrative projects as assigned.

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease).
