Job Summary
Prisma Health is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead and optimize location-based purchasing operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and financial strength through effective leadership and strategic management.

Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with key team members and management regarding purchasing needs and specifications.
- Ensure weekly inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to submission.
- Negotiate pricing, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Review incoming shipments for accuracy against purchase orders.
- Compile and analyze monthly purchasing and inventory reports.
- Utilize Excel and Visual Basic to manage inventory systems and data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing procedures, food, beverage, and printing products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ordering systems.
- Strong understanding of food and inventory trends with an operational focus.
- Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, data-entry, and computer skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in Healthcare nutrition, food service, or food industry purchasing is strongly preferred.
- ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
