Job Summary

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding activities to support organizational staffing goals. This position serves as a strategic partner to hiring managers while ensuring an exceptional candidate and new hire experience. The HR Manager will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, coordinate onboarding programs, and support HR initiatives that attract, retain, and engage a high-performing workforce.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet workforce needs.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer processes.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and position requirements.
  • Build candidate pipelines and maintain relationships with educational institutions, professional organizations, and community partners.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reports and recommendations to the Director of Human Resources.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws and equal employment opportunity requirements.

Onboarding & Employee Integration

  • Coordinate and manage all onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure completion of required employment documentation.
  • Partner with supervisors and department leaders to support successful onboarding and employee integration.
  • Monitor onboarding effectiveness and recommend process improvements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for new employees during their transition into the organization.

Human Resources Support

  • Assist the Director of Human Resources in implementing HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and personnel files.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Assist with policy interpretation and employee relations matters as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects and strategic HR initiatives under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and onboarding.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes and creating positive employee onboarding experiences.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, recruitment practices, and onboarding processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public sector, hospitality, convention center, or service-driven organizations.
  • Experience with workforce development and employee engagement initiatives.
