Job Summary
We are seeking a Retail Food Service Manager with a strong front‑of‑house background, ideally from a higher‑end fast casual or similar high‑volume retail dining environment. Experience in retail marketing and some exposure to catering operations is highly preferred. Looking for an individual who excels in customer‑facing leadership, guest engagement, and polished retail service execution.
In this role, the Retail Food Service Manager supports the success of the healthcare retail foodservice operation by ensuring an exceptional guest experience, maintaining compliance with Health Department regulations, and upholding both client and company standards. This position plays a key role in motivating, training, and developing staff to consistently achieve operational objectives and deliver high‑quality service to customers and the healthcare community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day retail foodservice operations to ensure smooth, efficient service.
- Lead front‑of‑house teams, ensuring high‑quality customer interactions and service standards.
- Plan and supervise special functions and promotional or marketing‑driven events.
- Manage cash handling procedures, cash controls, and payroll documentation.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing frontline team members.
- Ensure compliance with client expectations, Health Department guidelines, and company policies.
- Complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Support retail marketing initiatives to increase sales, customer engagement, and satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail foodservice operational management experience.
- Experience in fast casual dining, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or similar foodservice environments.
- Front‑of‑house leadership experience in a high‑volume setting strongly preferred.
- Retail marketing experience is preferred.
- Experience with cash‑based retail operations and financial controls.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer applications.
- Associate degree preferred.
