About the Role:
As a Marketing Intern, you’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager to promote Hofstra’s dining program. You’ll help plan events, manage social media, conduct student research, and assist with creative campaigns that impact campus. This hands-on opportunity is perfect for students who want to build their resume and gain valuable skills in marketing.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and assist with hosting engaging events Help build and manage a social media calendar
- Create eye-catching social media and marketing materials
- Update content on the Dine on Campus website
- Act as a brand ambassador at events and around campus
- Conduct marketing audits and assist with admin tasks
- Survey students to gather feedback and insights
- Maintain signage and promotional materials across dining locations
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Hofstra University Student
- Available to work weekdays ( around class schedule) and select weekends
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Friendly and approachable with good interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Creative mindset and attention to detail Interest in marketing, communications, or related fields
- Experience with Canva or design tools is a plus
- Previous marketing or customer service experience is a bonus
Learning Objectives:
- Demonstrate awareness, understanding and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment
- Learn how to create and implement a marketing plan
- Learn how to conduct market research and use it to generate a larger audience or increase buy‐in
- Learn how to use multiple platforms and strategies to effectively promote a brand
This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease).
