ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES, HEALTHCARE
Salary: $75,000-79,000 per year
Other Forms of Compensation: Up to $2,500 annually
Schedule: Full time; primarily Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm with rotating weekends.

Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day management of retail dining, physician dining, catering, and patient meal service operations.
- Partner with the Executive Chef and leadership team to ensure high-quality food production, presentation, and service.
- Assist in the development and implementation of innovative culinary and dining programs.
- Promote outstanding patient, guest, and client satisfaction through exceptional service standards.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop frontline associates and supervisors.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor operational performance and support department financial goals, including labor, food cost, and budget management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership, clinical partners, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, regulatory, and company standards.
- Support special events, catering functions, and departmental initiatives as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of food service management experience preferably in healthcare dining, patient services, or hospital dining
- Experience leading operations in healthcare, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, higher education, military, or other large-scale food service environments.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting, labor management, and cost controls.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to drive operational results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet-based systems
