Job Summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a PM Café Manager to join our team at The Egg, located on the campus of the Culinary Institute of America. This leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences, supporting team development, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast-paced café environment.
 
As the PM Café Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the PM Shift, ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency, and a welcoming atmosphere for guests and associates alike. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing leadership skills within a respected foodservice organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all activities during the PM Shift, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational excellence
  • Hire, train, coach, and support associates to foster a positive and inclusive team culture
  • Supervise café operations during the PM Shift, addressing operational needs and ensuring service standards are consistently met
  • Plan, promote, and execute café events, special programs, and promotional activities
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Monitor staffing levels, workflow, and productivity throughout the PM Shift
  • Support financial objectives by managing expenses, helping control costs, and identifying opportunities to improve business performance
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures and operational policies are followed
  • Partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement and enhance the guest experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • One to three years of leadership or supervisory experience in foodservice, hospitality, or a related environment
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, healthcare, military dining, or similar foodservice operations
  • Operational knowledge of foodservice equipment and cash handling procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively lead teams and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • ServSafe Certification or Department of Health Certification
  • Experience managing evening operations or leading a PM Shift team
  • Experience coordinating special events, promotions, or guest engagement initiatives
