Job Summary

 

The Patient Food Service Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the efficient flow of food operations. This role is responsible for patient communication, and coordination of food services to ensure an organized and positive patient experience. The Patient Service Coordinator works closely with clinical, dining and administrative teams within the hospital to maintain accurate records, uphold compliance standards, and facilitate timely food service delivery. The patient food service coordinator collaborates with nurses, physicians, and patient family members to support food services and mitigate patient concerns or complaints.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, and typing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or coursework in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.

 

Experience

  • Prior food service experience in a hospital, or healthcare customer service role preferred.
  • Experience with delivering excellent customer service.
