Job Summary

The Front of House Manager, reporting directly to the Executive Chef / Chef Manager, holds duties related to assisting with day to day operations at our client venue. The position entails a need for excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task, strong team leadership and ensures outstanding food and beverage quality, customer experience and strong customer service skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedules, trains, leads, and develops FOH staff
  • Supports budget, inventory, office administration, ordering, accounts payable and vendor management.
  • Manages with catering events
  • Leads FOH, snack, beverage and coffee program in conjunction with the culinary and marketing team
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with staff, culinary management team and both BOH and FOH team members.
  • Works with vendors to increase positive cost results
  • Works in conjunction with the client to ensure the experience is correct to maximize participation in the café space.
  • Oversees and is single point of contact for the FOH daily operations, cleanliness of the serving areas and pantry/coffee inventory levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading others - Strong Communicator and demonstrated by ability to interact optimally with a variety of people
  • Excellent computer skills, self-motivation, excellent planning skills and able to make timely and proficient decisions
  • Ability to keep track of large inventories and budgets
  • Ability to work the business hours as the workday usually extends from late afternoon into nights and weekends.  Work and life can accommodate the seasonality of the NFL schedule from July – February designated as in season and continue to support in the offseason, early February – July.  Off season hours reflect a more Monday – Friday schedule
  • In season; expectation is 45 – 55 hours.  This can flex up or down depending on the needs of the business.
  • Have a quick grasp on what needs to be done and demonstrates a desire to lead
  • Solid understanding of the business as well as has knowledge of the market
  • Finance, Loss Prevention, and HR experiences
