Job Summary
At Canteen, we deliver innovative dining solutions that elevate the workplace and educational environments. As a Director of Dining Services, you will lead the day-to-day foodservice operations, ensuring exceptional dining experiences, strong client partnerships, and consistent financial performance. This role is responsible for leading teams, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of quality, service, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of foodservice operations, including team leadership, service delivery, and client satisfaction
- Manage full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Partner with the Chef and leadership team to deliver nutritious, high-quality dining programs
- Implement new culinary initiatives and programs in collaboration with Canteen’s culinary and marketing teams
- Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering engagement and professional growth
- Act as a liaison between Canteen, the client, and the broader community
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and operational best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of foodservice management experience required; dining or campus experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Solid financial and business acumen with P&L experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
