Job Summary
Working as a Director of Dining Services, you are responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations for a dining account. You will manage and lead a team of associates. You will be responsible for managing client relations, along with ensuring that the food offered to the customers is of superior quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading daily operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and adherence to approved budgets while maximizing value for both the client and guests.
- Support the execution of premium food, beverage, and hospitality experiences, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved.
- Partner with leadership to recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and service excellence.
- Provide hands-on leadership across all areas, including food and beverage operations, guest services, staffing, inventory management, and operational compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and an elevated guest experience.
- Monitor operational performance, labor productivity, and service standards, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, team members, clients, and business partners while serving as a role model for hospitality standards.
- Support compliance with all company, health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with special projects, lounge initiatives, and additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Flexible schedule and open availability are required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and closing shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- 2 to 4 years of food service, hospitality, or restaurant management experience with a proven track record of operational leadership.
- 2 to 4 years of experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience in upscale hospitality environments, including restaurants, hotels, airport lounges, private clubs, bars, corporate dining, or other premium guest-service operations.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including quality standards, food safety, presentation, and guest experience.
- Demonstrated financial acumen with experience managing labor, expenses, budgets, inventories, and operational performance metrics.
- ServSafe Food Manager Certification preferred or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as experience utilizing technology to support daily operations.
- Associate's degree in Hospitality, Business, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
