Job Summary

Take your career to new heights with FLIK! We are seeking a hospitality centric Training Director to lead the guest experience training programs in partnership with our AMEX airport lounge operations. Our Director of Training creates, develops, and drives critical training initiatives, and is responsible for effective development, coordination and presentation of all management training initiatives while ensuring the revenue goals are met. This role will be responsible for partnering closely with VP of Operations to analyze training needs, develop curriculum, and execute and facilitate training courses within the Core business. This position requires 50% travel and is an ON SITE role.

We are open to candidates based in the following locations: Washington DC, New York, NY, Philadelpia, PA, Miami, FL, Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, Las Vegas, NV, Seattle, WA, Salt Lake City, UT, or San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assesses portfolio-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies suitable training solutions for salaried associates and supports frontline training initiatives.
  • Design and develop training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online modules, tailored to specific roles and skill levels
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job training for new hires and existing staff, ensuring consistency and effectiveness
  • Compliance and Safety Ensure staff are trained on relevant health and safety regulations, food handling procedures, and company policies
  • Develops and implements effective training materials by utilizing a variety of media.
  • Ensures consistent and effective implementation of learning & development platforms across the organization.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to drive innovative training solutions which impact business metrics and organizational effectiveness.
  • Plans and promotes monthly training curriculum based on fiscal year strategy to meet or exceed the budget.
  • Manages logistics and communications for each training course by acting as a Regional Facilitator on the company’s Learning Management System
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and makes necessary modifications as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:           

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of impactful Training leadership experience - Food & Beverage / Hospitality industry experience strongly preferred
  • Five years’ experience in development curriculum development/instructional design required.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to create training materials: eLearning courses, facilitator guides and participant workbooks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and meet deadlines on time with limited supervision.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual who is comfortable speaking in large groups and with all levels of management.
  • Must have excellent stand–up delivery and facilitation skills that drive key learning outcomes and motivate application beyond the classroom.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel up to 50% 
  • Must be proficient in distance learning including delivering training in virtual classroom environment, such as virtual conferencing.
  • Clear understanding of adult learning and the role it plays in facilitating learning.
  • Performance and behavioral based coaching certifications a plus
