FIELD SYSTEMS ENGINEER-(HYBRID- LAS VEGAS, NV)
Salary: $65,000-$70,000

About the role
Are you passionate about sports, entertainment, or cutting-edge technology? Join the Compass Digital technology team and be part of the action behind the scenes by supporting the Levy sector. You’ll ensure our technology—especially POS systems and event-day devices—runs smoothly so fans enjoy a seamless experience. You’ll troubleshoot in real-time, install and manage equipment, and contribute to delivering first-class service at some of the busiest venues in sports.

This position will report to the Regional IT Director.
Day in the life (includes but not limited to)
- Onsite support for events throughout the Las Vegas market with a focus on T-Mobile Arena
- Oversee and support staff PC/Laptops and Printers
- Primary point of contact for all technology related systems
- Ensure point of sale and other supporting systems are in full operation and ready for upcoming events
- Prioritize projects and issues and escalate to Regional IT as necessary
- Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of products and maintain full operational status
- Assist with the Installing, moving or replacing of hardware as needed
- Develop relationships and regular communication with vendors to ensure proper system support & maintenance
- Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of system installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Participates in regularly scheduled calls with corporate IT and vendors to review & address outstanding issues
- Communicate issues and resolution progress to relevant location, regional, and corporate personnel as needed
- Maintain inventory counts and status of all technology systems
- Manage the troubleshooting, resolution, and documentation of technical issues related to hardware, software, etc.
- Other tasks as assigned
What you bring
- 1+ years’ experience supporting technical systems (hardware, software, etc.)
- Basic networking knowledge (firewalls, switches, wireless)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to problem-solving
- High-energy, self-motivated, action oriented, multi-tasking, positive and humble attitude, flexible, hard-working, high level of integrity.
- Hospitality or live events experience is a plus
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus
Schedule & Travel
- Ability to work long shifts
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Up to 30% travel throughout the US
