Job Summary
Supervises hourly associates to ensure their practices comply with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in ordering and keeping inventory of products.
- Maintains product cost and labor cost according to budget.
- Supervises and trains hourly staff to ensure policy and procedures are implemented.
- Maintains consistent, efficient service during peak hours.
- Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
- Assists the Chef as needed in execution of production.
- Assists the Chef with event set up and breakdown requirements: All necessary prep, Chef's Table sets and decor, event execution, event breakdown; product labeling, storage, and disposal.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Candidates must be able to comunicate in English, read and follow recipes, and complete basic mathematical calculations for recipe conversions.
- Second Language is a plus.
- 3-5 years of culinary experiences in a similar role; preferably in a high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant, scratch-cooking environment.
- Candidate must exhibit extensice sanitation and culinary knowledge, accurate knife skills, and the ability to lead and motivate staff.
- Requires the ability to work organized and within a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure, bea logical thinker, remains calm and resolves problems using good judgement.
- Must possess the ability to prioitize, organize and follow through to meet deadlines.
- Must be available for all shifts.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards always require for this position.
- Requires a valid Health Card.
