Job Summary
We are looking for a driven and tech-oriented IT Intern to support the configuration, upkeep, and troubleshooting of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems at Concession Stands during events held at Texas A&M University. This opportunity is well-suited forstudents majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines who are eager to gain practicalexperience in a dynamic, fast-paced, and customer-focused setting.
Responsibilities:
- Support the setup, configuration, and testing of POS hardware and software at concession locations.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for technical support to concession staff during events.
- Organize and maintain the conditions of the pos and cabling within concession stands.
- Actively monitor POS operations and address hardware or software issues promptly.
- Conduct routine maintenance, software updates, and troubleshoot connections for POS terminals, printers, and networksystems.
- Assist with tracking, organizing, and documenting all POS equipment inventory.
- Collaborate with the IT team to escalate and help resolve advanced technical problems.
- Aid in training staff on basic POS usage and troubleshooting techniques.
