Job Summary

PM Kitchen Manager

Shift: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Schedule flexibility required; operation runs 24/7)

Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced PM Kitchen Manager to lead our evening culinary operations. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is driven by creativity, innovation, and a commitment to excellence in food quality and presentation. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations during the PM shift, with a strong emphasis on menu development, culinary leadership, and team mentorship. Key Responsibilities

  • - Lead and inspire the evening culinary team to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • - Oversee full culinary management of the food service operation, including inventory, ordering, and receiving.
  • - Drive innovation in menu development with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and culinary trends.
  • - Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards across all kitchen operations.
  • - Collaborate with the General Manager to align culinary goals with overall operational objectives.
  • - Manage food cost controls, purchasing, and inventory systems to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
  • - Support and execute high-quality catering events with attention to detail and creativity.
  • - Mentor and train kitchen staff to foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • - Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
  • - Minimum of three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or high-volume restaurant settings.
  • - Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation.
  • - Experience with exposition cooking and culinary innovation.
  • - Strong understanding of P&L accountability and contract-managed service operations.
  • - Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
  • - ServSafe certification is a plus.
  • - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet applications.
