Job Summary

Position Overview:
Wente Vineyards is seeking a motivated and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for driving catering and event revenue through proactive sales efforts, client relationship management, and seamless event coordination. The ideal candidate brings a passion for hospitality, strong sales acumen, and the ability to create exceptional guest experiences in a vineyard setting.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and outbound sales efforts
•    Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally, converting leads into confirmed events
•    Conduct site tours and present venue offerings to prospective clients
•    Develop customized proposals, menus, and event packages based on client needs
•    Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and event professionals
•    Collaborate with culinary, operations, and events teams to ensure successful execution of events
•    Manage contracts, event details, and client communications from booking through event completion
•    Meet and exceed monthly and annual revenue goals
•    Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the property
•    Maintain accurate records in CRM and sales systems
Qualifications:
•    Minimum of 2 years of experience in catering sales, event sales, or hospitality sales
•    Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
•    Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
•    Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
•    Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience in a winery, hotel, or upscale event venue
•    Knowledge of food & beverage operations and event logistics
