Job Summary
Summary: The Suite Attendant is responsible for receiving specific orders and requests to be fulfilled before, during and after each event. The attendant maintains each suite during the event. The attendant should understand and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and help with the execution of area setup and breakdown.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
- Understands all event paperwork and reports including but not limited to menu, authorizations, restrictions, delivery times, etc.
- Acts with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of suite and food service area before, during, and after each event.
- Arranges tables and decorations.
- Ensures all food and beverage is properly delivered and/or stored
- Arranges buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to standards.
- Thoroughly cleans location after event is completed.
- Stocks, cleans and maintains catering facility and equipment.
- Thoroughly completes all event set-up and breakdown responsibilities within timelines provided
- Performs post event product inventory and restocks as needed.
- Follows safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
- Logs and maintains food temperatures.
- Returns food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
- Maintains clean and safe work environment.
- Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
- Understands the importance of maintaining equipment and returning to proper storage area.
- Follows proper billing reconciliation procedures to create, modify and close sale checks via electronic tablet
- Distributes and collects customer comment cards for catered functions.
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Knowledgeable on all menu offerings and effectively uses suggestive and upselling techniques.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of complete menu and products on hand.
- Ensures guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times.
- Helps fellow employees whenever necessary.
- Adheres to location appearance guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Duties:
- Be punctual, reliable and available for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays on event basis.
- Adapt quickly to fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day and stand for duration of entire shift.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required work cards including SNHD Health Card, TAM Card, Non-Gaming Card and ServSafe.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English in written and oral form.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and bend.
- Lift, push pull up to 50 lbs.
