The Director of Dining Services is a pivotal leadership role in managing and overseeing all aspects of dining operations. As a Director, Dining Services, you will serve as a people leader motivating your team to achieve operational goals and provide excellent service delivery. You will also be responsible for operational oversight, staff management, budget management, client and vendor relations, as well as compliance and safety. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction and drive revenue. This role will be ideal for you, if you are interested in blending your culinary expertise, managerial skills and passion for delivering high quality dining experiences! 

Key Responsibilities:

•            Ensures the smooth daily operation of dining services, including menu planning, food preparation, and service quality.

•           Hiring, training, and supervising dining staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

•           Manages the dining service budget, including forecasting, expense tracking, and cost control to meet financial targets.

•           Manages all foodservice-related activities, including patient care, non-patient care (retail, cafeteria, catering etc.), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and all hospital-related activities at all sites.

•           Ensures compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or extensive food service operations management experience in lieu of degree.
Previous experience in foodservice management operations of multi-unit acute care hospitals highly desirable.
Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
Prior direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels
Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
