Position Summary
The Finance Intern will support the Controller team by assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales data entry, and various projects. This position provides hands-on experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Create and process customer invoices.
• Enter, validate, and reconcile sales data.
• Assist with weekly and month-end close activities.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support reporting, data analysis, and special projects as assigned.
• Perform general administrative and data entry tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Learning Objectives

• Gain practical experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and sales data processing in a business environment.
• Develop proficiency in Excel, financial systems, and data analysis to support reporting and decision-making.
• Understand month-end close processes, reconciliations, and internal controls that support accurate financial reporting.
• Strengthen professional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills through collaboration on financial projects and daily operations.

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff.
