Job Summary

At Wolfgang Puck Catering, we create elevated culinary experiences through thoughtful preparation, precision, and teamwork. As a full-time, hourly Sous Chef in our Commissary, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily production, large-scale catering, and special events.
 
This is a hands-on, full-time opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys being in the kitchen, working side-by-side with the team, and building leadership experience in a fast-paced culinary environment. You’ll partner closely with the Executive Chef and Senior Sous Chef to keep operations running smoothly while helping develop team members and maintain high standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Support and participate in daily food production, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
  • Help oversee assigned production areas and step into different kitchen stations as needed
  • Contribute to catering and event execution, including prep, service, and timely delivery
  • Collaborate with leadership on menu planning, ordering, and inventory management
  • Guide and support cooks and prep cooks to ensure an efficient workflow
  • Maintain consistency across recipes, preparation techniques, and plating
  • Step into a leadership role as needed to support kitchen operations
  • Monitor food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
  • Support team development through hands-on coaching and training
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented kitchen environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a professional kitchen, catering, or high-volume foodservice environment
  • Comfort balancing hands-on production with team support
  • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Clear communication and a collaborative mindset
  • Interest in growing within a stable, full-time role
  • ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
