Job Summary

Kick your culinary career into high gear with Eurest. We are seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager to lead our busy corporate dining operation in Louisville, KY — someone who brings as much heart to hospitality as they do skill to the kitchen. This is more than a culinary role; it's an opportunity to shape the daily dining experience for a corporate community that counts on you to deliver something exceptional, every single day.

As Chef Manager, you will own the success of both the culinary program and the overall food service operation across three café locations on a dynamic dining campus. We're looking for a hands-on culinary leader who is equally comfortable at the line and in the office — someone who leads by example, earns the trust of their team through presence and mentorship, and understands that a great guest experience starts with a great kitchen culture.

If you believe hospitality is a mindset, not just a department — we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full culinary management of the food service operation including inventory, ordering, and receiving
  • Lead from the front — actively cook alongside your team, model standards, and set the tone for quality and professionalism in a high-volume environment
  • Bring genuine hospitality to every guest touchpoint, fostering a welcoming dining atmosphere that reflects the values of the client and the Eurest brand
  • Oversee daily operations including reporting, scheduling, inventory control, and POS system management
  • Partner with the client to deliver quality on-site catered events that exceed expectations
  • Develop seasonal, trend-forward menus with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, sustainability, and presentation
  • Inspire, motivate, and develop a loyal, high-performing team through consistent coaching and a lead-by-example approach
  • Manage cost controls, purchasing, and P&L accountability to drive operational and financial performance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice or full-service restaurant environments, with demonstrated inventory and purchasing control
  • A natural hospitality mentality — warm, guest-focused, and committed to creating a positive dining experience at every level of the operation
  • Proven ability to thrive on the floor of a busy, high-volume kitchen while simultaneously managing administrative responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with emphasis on quality, sanitation, food cost controls, and elevated presentation
  • Experience with exposition/action station cooking
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
  • Systems savvy and comfortable utilizing technology — POS, scheduling, and reporting tools — on a daily basis
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience preferred

Why Eurest?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader with tremendous advancement potential. If you're a culinary professional who leads with passion, shows up for your team, and takes pride in the experience you create — this role was built for you.
