Job Summary
The MDM Customer (STEP) Lead supports Canteen One by overseeing customer master data setup, quality, and governance across enterprise systems. This role partners with Operations, Implementation, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent customer data that enables effective execution, reporting, and decision-making across the business. The position provides functional leadership, process oversight, and continuous improvement for customer master data activities.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data & Business Operations Support
- Lead ongoing customer master data setup and maintenance within STEP and integrated systems
- Serve as a functional subject matter expert for customer data and its downstream operational and financial impacts
- Act as the primary liaison between Canteen One, field operations, implementation teams, and system partners to resolve data issues and escalations
- Support enterprise initiatives involving customer data integration across ERP, CRM, and operational platforms
Data Integrity & Governance
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity through validation processes, reporting, and controls
- Identify data quality issues and implement corrective actions through improved processes and standards
- Partner with data owners and stakeholders to support consistent data governance practices
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and training materials
- Support system enhancements and participate in testing, requirements definition, and validation
Team Leadership & Workflow Management
- Coordinate and prioritize workloads to ensure service levels and deadlines are met
- Provide guidance, coaching, and escalation support to team members
- Monitor request volume, turnaround times, and performance metrics; communicate priorities and status to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Business, Information Systems, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in master data management, business operations, systems support, or data governance
- Experience supporting multi-functional or enterprise environments preferred
- Prior leadership or lead-level workflow coordination experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency required; experience with MDM or ERP systems (STEP, SAP, JDE) preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to partner across operational and technical teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
