Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced District General Manager to lead operations for one of our most significant enterprise clients in the Central Valley region. This high-impact role oversees 30+ locations and $20M in annual business, driving operational excellence, client satisfaction, and financial performance. You will serve as the senior leader and trusted partner to the client, setting the tone for a high-performing, client-focused culture.

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Sustained delivery on service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Strong client partnership and retention
  • Achievement of district-level P&L goals and margin improvement initiatives
  • Engagement, development, and retention of a high-performing management team

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across all client sites in the Central Valley, balancing day-to-day operations with long-term business planning
  • Build and maintain strong client partnerships by serving as the primary point of contact, understanding evolving expectations, and proactively addressing concerns
  • Drive accountability for service delivery standards (SLA adherence, product availability, equipment uptime, response times) and ensure transparent reporting
  • Own financial performance for the district, including P&L oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and margin improvement initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional management team, building bench strength and ensuring succession planning across all levels
  • Partner with senior leadership to communicate progress, risks, and opportunities, while aligning to the overall business strategy
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality standards across all sites; conduct audits and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Collaborate with internal corporate teams (supply chain, finance, HR, technology) to deliver seamless solutions that meet client needs
  • Represent the company in all client-facing meetings, business reviews, and engagement events as the trusted partner and ambassador for the district
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through operational efficiency, innovation, and employee engagement

Qualifications

Required

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-unit operations in foodservice, retail, logistics, or related industries
  • Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships with high service expectations
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of achieving P&L results and driving growth
  • Skilled communicator with exceptional influencing, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities
  • Experience developing and leading large teams with a focus on coaching, accountability, and performance management
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically in a high-volume, fast-moving environment

Preferred

  • Industry background in enterprise foodservice or facilities management
  • Familiarity with operational technology and reporting tools
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Project Management)
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is a plus

Position Details

  • Reports to: Regional Director
  • Team scope: Leads a multi-level management team
  • Travel requirement: ~50% across the Central Valley region
  • Location: Central Valley, CA (with regional travel as required)
