General Description:
As the Boost Marketing Intern, you will lead M Food Co.’s student-facing Boost mobile ordering lane by helping promote app awareness, adoption, and usage across campus.
Working closely with M Food Co. and the Boost Marketing Team, you will help implement Boost campaigns, support tabling and experiential marketing, create student-facing content, manage promotional materials, and track basic performance results. This role is designed to give the intern real ownership over the Boost lane of the marketing department while still receiving guidance and support from the Marketing Team.
This internship will give you real-life marketing experience in mobile ordering, digital engagement, student promotions, campaign execution, and basic marketing analytics. It is ideal for students interested in marketing, communications, technology, digital platforms, or campus engagement.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service experience or strong interest in student engagement
- Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation
- Good interpersonal skills
- General interest and knowledge of marketing and technology
- Prior marketing-related experience is a plus
- Comfortable engaging with students during tabling, events, and promotional activities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Boost Campaigns & Promotions
- Own Boost campaign support and promotion by:
- Assisting with the creation of campaigns and promotional opportunities to drive awareness, adoption, and usage of the Boost mobile ordering app
- Helping promote Boost offers, limited-time promotions, and mobile ordering features
- Testing and sharing student-focused ideas to increase app engagement
- Acting as a student-facing brand representative for Boost and M Food Co.
- Own Boost campaign support and promotion by:
- Tabling & Student Engagement
- Support student engagement and app adoption by:
- Planning, organizing, and supporting Boost tabling events
- Engaging with students to explain Boost, answer basic questions, and encourage app downloads
- Surveying students and collecting feedback to better understand barriers, opportunities, and student preferences
- Support student engagement and app adoption by:
- Content & Communications
- Support Boost-related content and communications by:
- Creating Boost-related social media content, including photos, videos, and reels
- Assisting with social media calendar development and promotional planning
- Collaborating with the Digital Marketing Intern on Boost content opportunities
- Contributing Boost updates, campaign results, student engagement highlights, photos, and story ideas for the monthly client newsletter as assigned
- Support Boost-related content and communications by:
- Signage, Materials & Reporting
- Help manage Boost materials and campaign reporting by:
- Ordering, updating, and managing Boost marketing materials through the Boost Higher Ed Portal
- Managing Boost signage in multiple campus locations
- Tracking app downloads through QR codes and social download links
- Reporting on key Boost marketing metrics and campaign results
- Completing Boost Marketing and technology training modules as assigned
- Help manage Boost materials and campaign reporting by:
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Intern, Event Interns, Retail Intern, Wellness Intern, Ambassadors, and other Marketing Team members
- Partner with Event Interns and Ambassadors to support Boost tabling, promotional events, and student engagement opportunities
- Work with the Digital Marketing Intern to capture Boost-related content and identify social media opportunities
- Support major campus initiatives where Boost promotion or mobile ordering can be incorporated
- Assist with other marketing initiatives as needed during slower Boost promotion periods
Learning Objectives:
- By the end of this internship, students will:
- Learn how to promote a mobile ordering platform in a campus dining environment
- Gain experience creating and executing student-facing marketing campaigns
- Learn how to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and use basic data to inform marketing decisions
- Build experience with tabling, experiential marketing, and student engagement
- Learn how to use multiple platforms and strategies to promote a digital brand
- Understand Boost mobile ordering integrations and offerings for campus
- Complete Boost Marketing and technology training modules as assigned
This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease).
