Job Summary

Working as the Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in driving the success of the Culinary Department while helping deliver an exceptional dining experience. This position is ideal for a passionate, hands-on culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring teams, and is eager to bring creativity and innovation to the kitchen.
Partnering closely with the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will assist in leading daily culinary operations, executing high-quality food production, supporting catering and special events, and developing fresh, exciting menu offerings. This is an outstanding opportunity for an energetic and entrepreneurial chef looking to grow within a dynamic hospitality-driven organization.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef in overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and execution excellence
  • Assist with menu development, daily features, recipe execution, and plate presentation
  • Lead and execute catering events and special functions with professionalism and creativity
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate hourly culinary associates to maintain a positive and productive team environment
  • Maintain strong food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, scheduling, and cost controls to drive operational efficiency
  • Partner with culinary and marketing teams to introduce and execute new culinary initiatives and seasonal programs
  • Ensure high standards for food quality, guest satisfaction, and overall dining experience
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Progressive culinary leadership experience in high-volume foodservice or hospitality environments
  • Catering and banquet experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with complex culinary operations and scratch cooking environments highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of food trends, menu innovation, production, sanitation, and presentation standards
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop kitchen teams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and inventory or purchasing systems
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
