Role Summary:


The Business Strategy and Analytics Manager is the key resource responsible for all strategic project planning and data analytics for the Bay Area, Compass at Google region. This role includes developing core partner and company metrics reporting. The Manager will be responsible for leading strategic projects, performance reporting, and managing the function to support the business's regional needs. This position reports into the Senior Director of Strategy and Performance and will leverage strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and engagement skills to build and foster successful relationships with key stakeholders.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of regular reporting on complex initiatives that span multiple business units and/or functions 

  • Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation to deployment, and ensure that the outputs are aligned to the achievement of business strategic objectives

  • Lead the development of regular business and performance reports  and management of corresponding action items

  • Work creatively and analytically to solve problems fostering team work, innovation and excellence

  • Leverage tools such as Compass Digital and Google AI Studio to analyze data and provide business insights and strategy

  • Engage with key stakeholders both internal and client to enable and support the changes associated with business growth

  • Identify and map new business opportunities through data analytics and opportunities for differentiation and programmatic strategy

  • Identify key metrics to report on projects across the region and implement tools to measure these, including identifying benchmarking data 

  • Provide forums and tools to engage business leaders to solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives

  • Reporting 

    • Financial and data reporting for major projects 

    • Timely report out on projects in flight 

    • Predictive analytics 

    • Synergistic approach to coalition of data points (e.g FLW, MBR etc) 

    • Creating of supporting tools 

  • Manage the preparation and outcome management of key PEM and QBD asks 

  • Take a leading role in the coordination of all Business Excellence practices

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited institution preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 2-4 years of project leadership experience in similar circumstances, preferably within customer service, hospitality, restaurant, or retail.

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects across complex business functions 

  • Demonstrated experience accurate reporting and data analysis

  • Experience implementing project management tools e.g. Asana 

  • Ability to create and implement advanced project tools and outlines e.g. Excel, Sheets 

  • Ability to influence and lead outside of traditional reporting lines and across multiple organizational levels; influencing without authority

  • Ability to build relationships quickly and effectively across multiple organizational levels, locations and functions

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Experience working with Compass Group systems and processes

  • Be aware and maintain confidentiality
