Summary:
The MK Assistant Manager for Canteen is responsible for the overall success of the assigned to the MK neighborhood. This means adhering to the Client’s culture and guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, and Canteen standards and expectations of food quality, freshness, and presentation. This position oversees the daily administrative and operational tasks including sanitation, workplace safety and food safety. This position also directs employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, and maintains a working relationship with the Client.

Key Responsibilities:
Overall Supervision:
Meets all timelines for service and all other timelines given by management.
Teaches and adheres to Canteen philosophy, culture and commitment to quality food and exemplary service.
Take ownership of the MK neighborhood.
Follows all Canteen requirements as outlined in the Canteen Management Handbook.
Ensures that all MKs meet the standards as set by Canteen leadership, as well as overseeing the daily appearance and upkeep of the MKs.
Adheres to Canteen standards of fresh and creative décor, as specified by Canteen leadership.
Prints the daily signage for MK fruit, as well as any other pertinent communication. Ensure communication is clearly visible, nicely displayed, and accurate in content.
Supervision and Development of Staff:
Supervises the daily conduct of the staff; coaches according to standards set in the Canteen Hourly Handbook.
Supervises the adherence to proper uniform standards following the employee handbook and established account guidelines.
Customer Service: Represents the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customers, client and employee interactions.
Budget Management: Adjust weekly forecasted orders to ensure all pertinent products are ordered efficiently.
Meets weekly spend targets; requests appropriate permission when overages are needed for large special events, Client requests, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience:
1-2 years supervisory experience in a like volume and quality customer service establishment
Has a minimum of 3 years applicable experience in a like volume and quality customer service establishment.
Possess general hospitality knowledge and interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices.
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Possess the ability to meet the Canteen unit with specific uniform standards for this position.
ServSafe certification a plus
