Job Summary
As a Senior Director of Dining Services, you will lead and manage dining operations across multiple locations within a district or across districts. Serving as the primary client contact, you will oversee day-to-day operations, drive financial performance, and lead teams to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This role requires a hands-on, highly engaging leader with strong financial acumen, multi-unit leadership experience, and an extensive catering background. Experience in educational foodservice is strongly preferred. You will oversee a high-volume operation (~$2.3M annual revenue) and ensure operational excellence, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead and develop teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of service, accountability, and inclusion
•Serve as the primary client contact and build strong relationships with school administrators and stakeholders
•Oversee high-volume and high-end catering operations, ensuring quality and execution excellence
•Drive key performance indicators including profitability, safety, engagement, and service standards
•Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence, both operationally and within the community
•Manage financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost controls
•Ensure compliance with USDA, local, state, and federal regulations, including audit readiness
•Collaborate with culinary, nutrition, marketing, and safety teams to enhance operations
•Lead hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning within assigned accounts
•Support account retention, growth opportunities, and participation in rebid processes
Required Qualifications
•Minimum 3+ years of dining services or foodservice management experience
•Strong financial and operational management skills
Preferred Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in foodservice, hospitality, or related field
•Experience in K–12 or educational foodservice environments strongly preferred
•Extensive catering experience, including large-scale and high-level service execution
•Background in hospitality (hotels, country clubs, or high-volume dining)
•Proven ability to lead high-revenue operations (~$2.3M+)
•Multi-unit management experience
•Hands-on, engaging leadership style with strong communication and organizational skills
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems
