Job Summary
The Specialty Coffee & Water Equipment Service Manager oversees all technical service operations for specialty coffee and water equipment across client locations. This role blends hands‑on expertise with leadership, ensuring equipment reliability, consistent performance, and exceptional client satisfaction. The manager develops service standards, leads technician training, and drives operational excellence while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Management
- Lead troubleshooting, repair, and testing of specialty coffee equipment, including super‑automatic espresso machines.
- Oversee maintenance and monitoring of specialty water systems.
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed and documented.
- Establish quality control standards and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify recurring issues, and implement solutions.
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies for field operations.
Team Leadership
- Provide hands‑on technical support and guidance to field technicians.
- Conduct performance evaluations and coach technicians to strengthen skills.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and high-quality service.
Training & Development
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for new and existing technicians.
- Create SOPs, manuals, and training materials.
- Lead workshops and refreshers to support new technologies and equipment updates.
- Mentor junior technicians to support career growth.
Customer Service & Client Relations
- Build strong client relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Train clients on equipment use and daily maintenance when needed.
- Respond to customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Serve as the technical liaison between clients, service teams, and vendors.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate service records and equipment histories.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term service planning.
- Support leadership with reporting and operational insights.
Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of specialty coffee and water equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience leading service teams and managing technical operations.
- Ability to design and deliver technical training.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift 15–50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
Education & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience with specialty coffee or related beverage equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
- Experience developing or delivering training is a plus.
- Must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must pass background check.
