Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Beverage Director to lead an elevated beverage program at a high-volume fine dining restaurant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a service-driven professional to oversee a dynamic and curated bar operation that complements a world-class culinary experience.
As the Beverage Director, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight and smooth execution of all beverage operations, driving excellence in guest service and operational efficiency. You’ll lead a team of skilled front-of-house professionals and bartenders to deliver refined hospitality in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, recruit, train, and mentor the beverage team to deliver exceptional, consistent service.
- Manage labor, payroll, and administrative functions while maintaining tight control over beverage costs, inventory, and par levels.
- Create and implement innovative beverage menus, including cocktail and non-alcoholic beverage menus.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, special events, and operations teams to meet daily and long-term business needs.
- Direct daily service as a floor presence overseeing bar and dining room flow, managing table assignments, and driving team communication.
- Manage reservations systems and booking logistics to align with business volume and guest expectations.
- Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across all beverage service areas.
- Respond to guest concerns with professionalism and urgency, ensuring satisfaction at every stage of service.
- Partner with the events team to create and execute customized beverage offerings for private functions and VIP clientele.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience.
- 6–8 years of progressive experience in upscale bar management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a high-volume fine dining environment.
- Strong background in beverage cost control, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Proven track record in training and developing high-performing service teams.
- Demonstrated success in designing and executing beverage programs and large-scale activations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, reservation systems, and inventory platforms.
- Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and highly professional in appearance and demeanor.
