Job Summary
As the HR People Manager for JP Morgan Chase with Restaurant Associates at their new global HQ at 270 Park, you will lead and support to cultivate our core philosophy that if we CARE for each other internally, we can be at best to deliver excellent hospitality and CARE for our clients and guests. Reporting to Restaurant Associates’ Business Unit Manager and HR Business Partner, The HR People Manager should be a hands-on proactive leader with demonstrated passion, drive & motivation to create value through direct and personal impact on the business. The ideal candidate will be highly organized & have excellent verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to handle fast-changing situations. The position also requires strong collaboration amongst stakeholders, decisive reasoning, and time-management skills. You will be responsible for implementation of critical HR People best practices while ensuring collaboration and communication around stated objectives.
The great things you will be doing:
Drive the continual evolution and execution of R/A’s People Leader-focused CARE strategy. Your role will encompass providing comprehensive Human Resources support and associate relations, front-line & Manager training, retention, engagement, and diversity. Your main responsibility will be to ensure smooth operations and efficient HR People practices while upholding the standards of Restaurant Associates in partnership with our client , while positively impacting overall employee, customer, and client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Is the key HR People Business Partner, keeping the greater team informed, that support business imperatives designed to minimize legal exposure, enhance employee and business productivity, performance management and retention.
- Support Preferred Employer objectives and the R/A HR business plan by actively participating in operational meetings, encouraging collaboration and contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Be responsible for new hire orientation and management training programs specifically tailored to this area, ensuring a smooth integration process for new employees.
- Work directly with Management team on employee recognition and engagement, counseling, personal development plans, annual performance reviews, and stay interviews
- Coordinate and conduct management training sessions focused on crucial areas such as terminations, sexual harassment, and performance management.
- Coordinated efforts with HRSC and provide expert guidance to management, assisting in the resolution of associate relations issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Develop and present recommendations to effectively minimize absenteeism and turnover, promoting a positive and engaged workforce.
- Collaborate in internal associate surveys and facilitate the interpretation and feedback process to improve associate happiness and engagement.
- Attend operational meetings to bolster HR visibility, deliver impactful classroom training, offer assistance, and implement tailored HR initiatives for the account.
- Coordinate and deliver management training programs related to interviewing, selection, and hiring practices, empowering managers with the vital skills to attract and select qualified candidates.
- Support managers in partnership with Compass COE’s and R/A’s HR teams in the development and execution of robust recruitment plans sought at growing the flow of qualified applicants.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.),
- Five years plus of multi-unit HR generalist and associate relations experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a high customer contact setting, highlighting your ability to effectively handle and address customer needs and expectations.
- Labor Relations and union experience.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven track record to define problems, capture and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- SPHR/PHR Certification preferred, reflecting your dedication to professional development and staying updated with HR best practices.
