Job Summary
As the Pastry Chef, you will lead all pastry production within a high-volume corporate dining environment at Morgan Stanley in NYC. You are responsible for the preparation, execution, and ordering for the pastry department, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency at scale. This role includes proper handling, preparation, and storage of perishable products while strictly adhering to HACCP standards to maintain safe and sanitary food production and presentation.
Additional responsibilities include high-volume menu development, inventory management, ordering, and maintaining sanitation standards. You will also oversee and support hourly associates, including hiring, coaching, counseling, and ongoing development—playing a key role in building a strong, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares, produces, and orders for the pastry department
- Handles, prepares, and stores perishable products
- Adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe and sanitary food production
Preferred Qualifications:
- A culinary degree is preferred
- Minimum three years related pastry experience in upscale, high-volume restaurant and/or catering operations
- Ability to demonstrate creative and quality-driven pastry skills
- Must have good food knowledge and recognition of quality product
- Strong knowledge of current food and catering trends with a focus on using seasonal ingredients, production, sanitation, food cost controls, menu development and presentation
- Excellent overall computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles
- ServSafe of Department of Health certification a plus
