Job Summary

The Project Manager plans, coordinates, and oversees healthcare facility construction, renovation, space planning, and deferred maintenance projects. This role supports operational, regulatory, and strategic facility goals while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
•    Lead space planning, renovation, construction, and facility improvement projects.
•    Coordinate with hospital leadership, clinical departments, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
•    Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, bid documents, cost estimates, and construction specifications.
•    Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
•    Review and recommend construction plans, building modifications, and space utilization improvements.
•    Manage contractors, bids, contracts, payment applications, and change orders.
•    Maintain infection control requirements, Interim Life Safety Measures, and commissioning activities during construction.
•    Support development and execution of the facility deferred maintenance plan.
•    Prepare reports, records, forecasts, and recommendations for leadership.
•    Negotiate vendor agreements and oversee project-related procurement.
•    Supervise assigned staff, conduct performance evaluations, assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee relations.
•    Participate in emergency response activities and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•    Thorough knowledge of engineering, construction management, contract administration, and healthcare facility operations.
•    Knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations, building codes, life safety standards, and environmental requirements.
•    Strong written, verbal, organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
•    Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum five years of healthcare engineering, construction, or facilities project management experience, including supervisory responsibilities, preferred.
Physical & Work Environment
Requires the ability to walk active construction sites, climb stairs and ladders, lift equipment and tools as needed, and work in environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and infection-control protocols. May require occasional evening, weekend, or emergency response support.
