SENIOR SPECIALTY SERVICES AMBASSADOR

Salary: $27 - $28 / hour

Job Summary

The Senior Specialty Services Ambassador will focus on operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and health & safety standards. Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks. Handles inventory according to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations. Interacts with customers and other employees in a friendly, courteous manner. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support barista team during shifts to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest experience
  • Prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks for customers using standard measures and recipes
  • Train new hires and coach team members on beverage preparation, customer service and safety procedures
  • Enters orders accurately into POS device
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
  • Monitor product quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards and ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards.
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and labor optimization
  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during beverage service.
  • Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
  • Serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines.
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers.
  • Serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the decision-making process.
  • Support inventory management, ordering, and stock organization
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Barista or café experience preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of espresso equipment and specialty coffee preparation
