Project Manager, Food and Nutrition Services

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 / year

Other Forms of Compensation: $5,000 one-time sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment 

Pay Grade: 16

The Food & Nutrition Services Project Engineer (PE) is an experienced food service management professional that supports the Nashville market (majority of time will be split between 2-3 hospitals in Nashville and Murfreesboro). Reporting to the Vice President, the PE does not have any direct reports and will enjoy a mostly Monday-Friday schedule with an anticipated 1-2 evenings/weekends per month for project work; open to Friday as a "home office/work from home" day.

The PE may: audit and/or re-engineer existing accounts, train management or hourly personnel, or perform other operations, program development, teaching, research, or troubleshooting assignments. The Project Engineer must be knowledgeable, experienced and fully fluent in FNS programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Successfully builds relationships at all levels of the client, customer and Company organizations.
  • Manages multiple business goals and priorities in the best interest of the organization as measured by Client and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Collects and analyzes facility data including, occupancy data etc., develops appropriate staffing levels based on industry standards, company benchmarking and personal experience
  • Identifies and addresses "hot spots" and program issues. Identifies and develops action plans for quality and service issues
  • Implements all TouchPoint programs according to any/all business proposals, Company standard and costing
  • Performs Operations Audits as needed
  • Provides support, training and recommendations to the on-site management team
  • Provides orientation and management training to existing and new management teams. This training will include system application and day-to-day management practices
  • At the discretion of the VP, provides as needed support including business transitions, marketing/ communications, operations, etc. for services for the Division and the Company
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • B.S. Degree preferred; Associate's Degree or 5 years of applicable experience required.
  • Must be a very hands on leader
  • Prior food service management experience required; in a healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • Must live in Nashville
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task
