Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager is a hands on service and operations leader responsible for driving exceptional guest experiences while ensuring disciplined, consistent restaurant operations. This role partners closely with the General Manager to lead the dining room, support daily execution, uphold luxury service standards, and maintain operational excellence in a fast paced, high visibility retail environment. The AGM leads from the floor, sets the tone for hospitality, and ensures teams are aligned, prepared, and accountable every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily front of house operations, ensuring polished service, pacing, and guest engagement at all times
• Actively manage the floor during service, anticipating guest needs and resolving issues quickly and professionally
• Train, coach, and develop service teams to deliver consistent, elevated hospitality aligned with brand standards
• Support scheduling, labor deployment, and shift execution to balance service quality and operational efficiency
• Partner with the General Manager on operational planning, service standards, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with all health department regulations, food safety practices, and company policies
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to ensure seamless coordination between front and back of house
• Maintain strong relationships with the client and internal partners through consistent communication and service execution

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of food service leadership experience with a strong service focus
• Proven ability to lead teams on the floor in high volume, guest facing environments
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, labor management, and service standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Passion for hospitality, service excellence, and guest experience
