Job Summary

Restaurant Associates, the industry’s leading hospitality and dining services provider, is seeking a Beverage Manager for Genesis House, an innovative cultural and culinary destination in New York City. The Beverage Manager will oversee the beverage program, ensuring a dynamic, world-class experience that reflects Genesis House’s blend of tradition, innovation, and luxury. This leader will curate beverage offerings, drive financial performance, and inspire the service team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the beverage program, including wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic selections, with a focus on quality, creativity, and alignment with Genesis House’s brand.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop beverage pairings, seasonal menus, and special programming.

  • Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, inventory control, and monthly beverage cost reporting, ensuring adherence to budgetary goals.

  • Train, mentor, and support bartenders, servers, and front-of-house staff in beverage knowledge, mixology skills, and responsible service standards.

  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding alcohol service.

  • Create innovative guest experiences through beverage events, tastings, and promotions.

  • Monitor service standards and guest satisfaction, addressing concerns with professionalism and urgency.

  • Ensure beverage areas and bars are maintained in pristine condition with a focus on safety, sanitation, and presentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of beverage management experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, or high-end cultural venues.

  • Strong knowledge of global wine regions, artisanal spirits, mixology, and emerging non-alcoholic trends.

  • Certified Sommelier, Cicerone, or equivalent beverage certification strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of managing beverage costs, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills with the ability to inspire a team.

  • Guest-focused mindset with a passion for hospitality, creativity, and innovation.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
