Job Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the account, assists with all the accounting and control functions at the account including all revenue and expense reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly financial reporting requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Leads the financial planning & analysis function at the account, including the development of annual budgets linked to operational assumptions, rolling forecasts, and the supporting processes required to measure actual performance vs budgets and forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Improves financial performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends; providing performance guidelines and recommendations to management as appropriate.
  • Monitors operational metrics such as guest counts, average check, and product mix, developing client-facing analytical summaries and extracting insights to drive financial performance.
  • Provides strategic financial support to the operations ensuring that all opportunities for revenue generation and cost containment are identified and fully exploited.
  • Develops business cases to evaluate innovation and new product opportunities, including cashflow and ROI models when capital investments are required.
  • Creates client-facing presentations summarizing financial performance, operational metrics, and financial forecasts.
  • Ensures the accuracy of monthly financial statements by reconciling transactions and comparing and correcting data.
  • Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Develop forecasts and budgets; compiling and analyzing budgets and forecast, monitoring variances and identifying trends.
  • Review of general ledger and balance sheet; resolving accounting/reconciliation issues; maintaining inventory and cost control procedures, and creation and design of reports and spreadsheets.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Proactive, results oriented individual that can add value to the operation while maintaining and managing business processes to ensure efficient accounting and internal control.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • 3-5 years business experience in similar position
  • Ability to prepare monthly financial statements, key metric reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections and analyses
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including buildin efficient Excel models to improve productivity & Powerpoint to create client-facing presentations on financial performance.
  • Adept at planning, organizing and controlling complex processes as well as analyzing moderately complex financial information
  • Powerful communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple task & priorities, have strong organizational skills, and produce consistently accurate work.
  • Team Player and motivator, detail oriented, forward thinking, creative, ability to work under strict deadlines and maintain a consistently stable work environment.
