Job Summary

 

As a member of the ACE Team, you will support and manage Flik Hospitality Group accounts, providing operational leadership where it is needed most. Based in New York City, you will primarily support locations throughout the Tri-State area, with opportunities to assist non-local Flik accounts requiring up to 25% travel. ACE schedules vary weekly based on business needs. While most assignments occur Monday through Friday, occasional evening, weekend, and holiday support will be required with advance notice.

 

The Catering Manager is responsible for leading the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, executive functions, and special events while delivering exceptional hospitality and operational excellence. This role oversees catering service, event logistics, client relationships, team leadership, financial performance, and seamless event execution. Working closely with culinary and operations teams, you will ensure every event exceeds client expectations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of catering events, ensuring exceptional service and flawless event delivery.

  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop catering associates and temporary staff.

  • Oversee event setup, service, breakdown, and post-event follow-up.

  • Partner with culinary leadership to develop menus and execute outstanding dining experiences.

  • Coordinate staffing, production schedules, equipment, and event logistics.

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, sanitation, and service standards.

  • Manage labor, food costs, event budgets, and operational performance.

  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional hospitality.

  • Collaborate with culinary, operations, facilities, and support teams to ensure seamless execution.

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of food service or hospitality experience, including one year in a management or supervisory role.

  • Catering management experience in corporate dining, restaurants, hotels, conference centers, higher education, healthcare, or similar hospitality environments.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and client relationship management skills.

  • Experience managing budgets, labor, food costs, and multiple events simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of catering operations, menu planning, food safety, and service excellence.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management software.

  • ServSafe Certification required or obtainable upon hire.

  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel assignments.
