Job Summary
This position provides quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance support for healthcare food service operations. The role partners with operational leadership to ensure compliance with Compass Group standards, food safety regulations, infection prevention protocols, and local, state, and federal health requirements while promoting a safe dining environment for patients, residents, visitors, and associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance audits within assigned healthcare food service locations.
- Support regulatory inspections, accreditation surveys, and third-party audits, including corrective action planning and follow-up.
- Monitor compliance with HACCP programs, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and respond to food quality, safety, and sanitation concerns.
- Analyze operational processes and recommend improvements to enhance quality, safety, and compliance.
- Track regulatory updates and industry trends and communicate impacts to operational teams.
- Develop and deliver training materials related to food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance.
- Review audit findings and performance metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

Track and manage food service facilities work orders, including equipment servicing, repairs, and infrastructure improvements to support a safe and compliant operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Nutrition, Dietetics, Environmental Health, Public Health, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare food service, food safety, quality assurance, auditing, or regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and infection prevention practices.
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, or accreditation surveys preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications such as ServSafe Manager, CP-FS, or REHS are preferred.

Knowledge of food service equipment maintenance and facility management processes, including work order tracking and vendor coordination.
