Job Summary
Restaurant Associates is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to lead food and physical safety initiatives across multiple locations for a single corporate client. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
This position is NY based and requires 15% travel to Chicago and Miami.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all units adhere to current food safety and workplace safety regulations.
- Organize and oversee safety training programs across all locations.
- Schedule and conduct regular site visits to monitor safety practices and compliance.
- Actively participate in Regional Safety Champion initiatives to promote continuous improvement.
- Lead the Third-Party Assessment Program, including vendor evaluations and internal self-assessments.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on safety performance and progress.
- Maintain and enforce compliance with all safety protocols and standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver measurable results.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong facilitation skills for training individuals and small groups in safety and sanitation.
- Deep commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Effective problem-solving abilities with practical, actionable solutions.
- Thorough understanding of local and state health codes.
- ServSafe and valid NYCDOH Food Protection Certificate required; CP-FS Certification strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5–10 years of kitchen operations experience or 3–5 years of field experience as a safety/health inspector.
