Job Summary
The Resident District Manager has overall global responsibility for, including but not limited to: Conference, Reservations, Reception Services and Workplace services. Will oversee the central reservations function, all aspects of conference and client center planning and extensive reception services at all Firm locations globally. The Resident District Manager will ensure that all staff members deliver superior customer service in all aspects of the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of directing and evaluating the activities of the Conference Planning, Reservations and Reception teams.
- Lead daily operations through direct interface and communication with the lead members of each team.
- Work with the client to ensure that goals and expectations are understood and then communicating such to the staff and incorporating them into the Rapport operation.
- Maintain close communications with the client to ensure that the Rapport staff is going above and beyonds on an ongoing basis.
- Develop Quarterly Action Plans for the completion of projects designed to improve services and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure appropriate standard operating procedures are in place for all functions.
- Ensure current policies, procedures and guidelines are being followed by associates.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key internal departments, as well as with external vendors supporting the Firm at the relevant locations.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings.
- Conducting quarterly operations reviews with client.
- Manage the Rapport Quality Assurance process within Reception, Reservations, and Conference Planning.
- Remain at the forefront of industry trends; suggest creative ideas to improve on space innovation and guest experience.:
- Manage all human resources functions related to Rapport associates, including the recruiting, hiring, initial training and ongoing professional development of staff members.
- Manage implementation of necessary administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, etc.
- Manage all financial aspects of the Conference Planning, Reservations and Reception functions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Continually monitor payroll and other expenses, ensuring that they are in line with budget and with forecasted levels of business.
- Following established guidelines for obtaining proper approvals and providing accurate and timely explanations/documentation for any expenditure of company funds.

- Excellent organizational, communication and administrative skills
- Ability to interact with customers in a professional and pleasant manner, daily.
- Ability to manage and mentor a diverse work force, providing associates with ongoing training and opportunities for career development.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and experience with financial/statistical analysis.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
- Familiarity with conference room reservation/space management systems.
- A consistently professional approach, including a strong sense of self- respect and integrity.
- Extensive knowledge in event and space management with focus on event logistics and execution.
- Ability to think strategically in terms of both short-term and long-term objectives and challenges.
- A mindset to take ownership and responsibility within and outside one’s job domain.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
