Job Summary

The Senior Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving event revenue, cultivating strong client partnerships, and overseeing the full sales cycle for a diverse portfolio of high-volume events. This role leads all proactive and reactive sales efforts, manages key accounts, and works closely with internal teams to ensure flawless execution. The ideal candidate has experience managing an annual book of business of $5 million or more, with a successful track record closing corporate, social, and large-scale experiences in premium hospitality environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead all catering and event sales efforts, including outreach, prospecting, client development, site visits, proposals, tastings, negotiations, and closing.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with planners, agencies, corporate partners, and repeat clients to drive year-over-year revenue growth.
• Develop tailored proposals, contracts, event packages, and BEOs that reflect the standards and capabilities of the operation.
• Collaborate with culinary, beverage, operations, and service teams to ensure seamless event execution from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Manage sales forecasts, revenue targets, budgets, and a detailed pipeline to support strategic planning.
• Partner with internal leaders on menu planning, costing, staffing models, timelines, and setup requirements.
• Maintain accuracy and organization in CRM systems, including outreach logs, client notes, pipeline stages, and revenue tracking.
• Represent the operation through polished tours, presentations, tastings, and participation in industry and networking events.
• Support brand visibility through partnerships, community engagement, and special initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.
• Lead initiatives that enhance the guest experience, improve processes, and strengthen overall revenue performance.

Preferred Qualifications
• Proven experience managing a $5M+ book of business within catering, event sales, or high-end hospitality.
• Minimum 5 years of catering sales or event sales experience in premium environments.
• Strong ability to build long-term client relationships and consistently exceed revenue targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and proposal-writing skills.
• Ability to partner effectively with culinary and operations teams on menu development and logistical planning.
• Familiarity with AV, production needs, event timelines, and on-site support requirements.
• High proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-touch events simultaneously.
• Solutions-focused, polished, and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and upholding high hospitality standards.
