Job Summary
We are seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Services Team within an acute care environment located in North Providence, RI.
This facility includes 312 licensed beds with an average daily census of 110, serving a diverse patient population including acute care, post‑operative, and behavioral health patients. The unit operates using the Morrison National Patient Menu along with all applicable patient‑focused programming, and was recognized as the 2025 Regional Account of the Year.
The selected candidate will primarily work 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM and must be available for rotating weekends (every other weekend).
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes goals and oversees the implementation of patient food service needs based on medical direction and patient population.
- Hires, directs, coaches, trains, and develops patient services team members.
- Ensures compliance with dietary restrictions and modified diets while meeting patient food preferences within prescribed guidelines.
- Supports the patient services team in achieving stated patient satisfaction goals.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and accrediting regulatory standards, including HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights policies.
- Participates in and/or leads patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
Qualifications
- Associate degree with at least one (1) year of work experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in food service technology/management or a related field.
- Certified Dietary Manager, Registered Diet Technician, or Registered Dietitian credentials preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
- ServSafe® certification desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, and diet office systems.
