Job Summary
This position is a seasonal, event-based role, with a primary duration from April-September.
Summary: Responsible for communication between culinary staff and servers, coordinating the flow of food items.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and organize incoming food orders to ensure accuracy and priority.
- Communicate clearly with chefs and line cooks to coordinate timing.
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of all menu items and ingredients.
- Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and all special requests are addressed and accommodated.
- Inspect dishes for correct presentation, temperature, and completeness before they leave the kitchen.
- Assist with plating or garnishing when needed.
- Communicate with servers to ensure efficient delivery of food to guests.
- Help resolve issues quickly to maintain service quality.
- Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Relays relevant information to supervisor.
- Performs light cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping, to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
- Maintan a clean, organized expo station.
- Keeps equipment, work area and facilities clean and in order.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
