General Description:

As a Marketing Intern, you will serve as the face of Miami Dining, helping create excitement, build connections, and increase student engagement across campus through experiential marketing as an ambassador. You will be heavily involved in peer-to-peer outreach, events, and promotions.

You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to brainstorm creative campaigns, execute events, gather student feedback, and support the operational side of marketing. Whether you're tabling at a busy campus location, hyping up students at an event, conducting research, or analyzing campaign performance, you'll play a key role in shaping the student dining experience.

This is not your average internship. You'll gain experience in both front-facing brand engagement and behind-the-scenes marketing operations, making a direct impact on student involvement and program success.

Key Responsiblities:

• Serve as a Dining Ambassador by engaging with students and generating excitement around dining programs, events, promotions, and new initiatives.

• Build authentic peer-to-peer connections and help create a welcoming, energetic campus dining environment.

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing dining events and promotional activities.

• Represent Miami Dining at tabling events, orientations, campus programs, and special events.

• Conduct student surveys, gather feedback, and support market research efforts.

• Collaborate on brainstorming sessions and marketing campaign development.

• Support Dine on Campus initiatives and digital marketing efforts.

• Track campaign results and contribute to marketing analytics and reporting.

• Conduct marketing audits and evaluate promotional effectiveness across locations.

• Manage signage and marketing materials throughout multiple dining locations.

• Assist with administrative and operational marketing projects as needed.

• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and special events.

What We're Looking For:

• Outgoing, enthusiastic, and comfortable engaging with fellow students.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A positive attitude and ability to energize and encourage participation.

• Interest in marketing, promotions, events, branding, or customer engagement.

• Ability to balance creative, analytical, and operational responsibilities.

• Customer service experience preferred.

• Prior marketing, social media, photography, or event experience is a plus.

Learning Opportunities:

• Learn how to create, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns.

• Develop event planning and brand activation skills.

• Gain experience collecting and analyzing consumer insights.

• Learn how peer-to-peer marketing influences engagement and purchasing decisions.

• Understand the operational and strategic elements of a large-scale collegiate dining program.

• Build professional communication, leadership, and project management skills.

• Develop experience using multiple marketing channels and promotional strategies to grow brand awareness and participation.
