DIRECTOR, DINING SERVICES - Royal Independent School District, Pattison, TX

Salary:  $70,000 - $75,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Annual bonus incentive up to 20%, medical, dental & vision, 401K, PTO

Job Summary

Royal Independent School District, located in Pattison, Texas, is seeking a dynamic and adaptable dining services leader to oversee our long tenured and rapidly growing student nutrition program serving approximately 3,600 students across six campuses, with a seventh campus opening next year. Leading up to 45 Chartwells associates and partnering closely with an Executive Chef, this individual will drive operational excellence while supporting innovative programs such as Game On!, Global Eats, Student Choice, Discovery Kitchen, and Mood Boost to create an exceptional dining experience for students.

The ideal candidate is an outstanding communicator with the ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment and build strong relationships at all levels, from frontline employees and department leaders to district administrators and clients. This leader will foster a positive team culture, develop and mentor staff, and bring the flexibility, adaptability, and people-management skills needed to lead diverse teams while supporting the district's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
  • Maintains excellent relationships with the client
  • Works with the team to create nutritious, high-quality food for students
  • Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
  • Acts as a liaison between Chartwells, the client, and the community
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the dining services operation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Management, Hospitality, Culinary, or Nutrition preferred; additional food service management experience
  • Three or more years of food service management experience
  • K-12 dining experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Financial acumen with strong business intuition
