Position Title: Health Center Dining Manager - Upper St. Clair, PA
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
Other Forms of Compensation: Merit Increases
Position Highlights:

Schedule: Lunch and dinner oversight with some weekends (this is not a 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. schedule)

Team Leadership: Manage a team of 7–8 dining associates

Experience Preferred: Knowledge of tray line service, therapeutic and modified diets (mechanical, dysphagia, puréed, etc.), and dining room etiquette

Certifications: CDM not required but considered an asset; ServSafe preferred

Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and a hands-on management style with a focus on sanitation and service excellence

About the Role & Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking an energetic, hands-on Health Center Dining Manager to lead dining services within a senior living healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and motivator—someone who leads by example, builds trust with their team, and takes pride in creating memorable dining experiences for residents. You’ll oversee day-to-day meal service for Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living areas, ensuring every plate meets our standards of quality, safety, and genuine hospitality. Summary:
As a Health Center Dining Manager, you will lead a team of dining professionals in delivering exceptional meal service for residents within a senior living healthcare environment. This role oversees daily dining operations in a seated service setting and supports special functions. You’ll collaborate closely with culinary and clinical partners to ensure meals meet both quality and dietary standards, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. You will also assist with department planning, budgeting, and staff development to uphold Unidine’s standards of hospitality and excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees daily dining operations for a moderate- to high-volume healthcare or senior living community.

Leads and mentors a team of 7–8 associates, fostering engagement, accountability, and exceptional service.

Interacts with residents, families, and guests, resolving concerns promptly and professionally.

Partners with culinary leadership to plan menus and deliver top-quality food that meets dietary and regulatory requirements.

Ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards; maintains readiness for health inspections.

Supports budget and cost control processes, including labor and food cost management.

Assists with implementing new dining programs and initiatives in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.

Contributes to quality improvement efforts and ongoing training to enhance service consistency.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 2 years of food service management experience, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality.

Experience with tray line service, modified diets (mechanical, puréed, diabetic, low-sodium), and dining room etiquette.

Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.

Knowledge of food production, sanitation, and cost control best practices.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with ordering, inventory, or scheduling systems.

ServSafe Certification preferred.

CDM certification not required but considered an asset.

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
