Position Overview

PSU Eats is seeking a creative, motivated, and student-focused Marketing Intern to assist with marketing initiatives across dining locations on campus. This hands-on role provides real-world experience in digital marketing, content creation, events, customer engagement, and brand promotion. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, video content, and connecting with fellow students. 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality video content for social media platforms and help grow the PSU Eats YouTube channel.

• Assist with planning, promoting, and executing on-campus engagement events.

• Capture photos and videos at dining locations, events, and promotional activities.

• Support social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.

• Assist with email newsletter development and marketing communications.

• Gather student feedback on dining programs, menus, and campus dining experiences.

• Collaborate with the PSU Eats Marketing Coordinator on campaigns and promotional initiatives.

• Help develop marketing materials, graphics, and signage as needed.

• Support administrative marketing tasks, including organization of marketing assets and tracking campaign performance.

• Represent PSU Eats positively at campus events and student outreach activities.

• Complete a variety of marketing, design, event, social media, and administrative projects as needed. 

 

Qualifications

• Current PSU students only

• Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

• Basic photography and videography skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

• Creative mindset with attention to detail.

• Experience with Canva, CapCut, and similar content creation tools is a plus.

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods.  Business needs may vary from year to year.
